Valerie Taylor

Valerie Taylor is a native of Brunswick County. She graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance/ Choreography. She came back to her hometown and started Brunswick School of Dance in 1983. Valerie has been instrumental in bringing dance to the public schools in Brunswick County and adding dance to the high school arts curriculum. She taught dance in the public schools and directed the high school dance team for over ten years while running her studio. In 2019 she passed the baton over to Mrs Leigh Anne but still has a passion and desire for the youth of Brunswick County and enjoys teaching the “little ones”.
